With the countdown to your League's 77th Annual Meeting & Convention now be counted in days and hours, attendance for all events and activities at the Convention continues to grow. Overall, Convention attendance is approaching 700, with attendance at your League's Annual Awards Banquet now standing above 470 registered attendees. All indications are that both figures will increase right up until the Convention on May 15-16, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland.
"We have always have people deciding at the last minute to attend the Convention, and are pleased that there is a lot of positive buzz about the Convention. This really is one of the only opportunities during the year where credit unions can come together in one location to network, share and celebrate as a collective group. We have a sold-out exhibit area, great speakers, intriguing workshops and always a lot of excitement to see who will be honored at the Annual Awards Banquet," explained your League's VP of Member Services, Cheryl Lancaster.
In addition to the action-packed program, other Convention highlights include the Annual Delegates' Meeting, the presentation of the Dora Maxwell, Louise Herring and Desjardins State Awards, top-notch entertainment following the Awards Banquet, and two fundraising Silent Auctions for the Maine Credit Unions' Campaign for Ending Hunger and CULAC.
For anyone not registered to attend the Convention, the Annual Awards Banquet and/or the Closing Session, it is not too late to do so. Please click here to get started; email Susan Erlandson for assistance; or call your League's Member Services at 800.442.6715.
