At the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington, DC, in February, several credit unions and leagues will be recognized with CUNA social responsibility awards. The Maine Credit Union League is pleased to announce it will receive a first-place Desjardins Award for its efforts to improve financial literacy for both youth and adults. Desjardins Awards are given annually to credit unions, chapters, and leagues to honor their efforts to promote youth and adult financial education.
“We are thrilled to once again be receiving this special honor,” said Jake Holmes, League Financial Literacy Outreach Coordinator. “Our role as a financial education ambassador is a position we take seriously. We know the work we do helps improve the financial well-being of Mainers in all corners of the state. While we are grateful to receive this award, helping others is really what matters.”

- Delta Schools Federal Credit Union (Antioch, CA)
