League to Host Regional Dialogue Sessions Ahead of Board Election

This December, the League will be hosting regional dialogue sessions—offering credit unions a forum to network with peers in their region ahead of the League Board election. These sessions, held virtually due to Maine’s unpredictable weather, are being hosted to foster communication between Board candidates, voting presidents, and other interested parties.

One representative from each region will be elected to serve on the Board. However, how can Maine credit union CEOs cast a well-informed vote? By communicating, of course! In these virtual sessions there will be people who may want to run for a Board seat in 2025. The meetings also will be full of credit union representatives whose presidents will ultimately be voting on a Board Director to represent their region.

The regions are as follows:

Regional Categories (Counties)

  • Region A: Aroostook, Penobscot, Piscataquis, Washington – 1 seat
  • Region B: Androscoggin, Franklin, Oxford, Sagadahoc, Somerset – 1 seat
  • Region C: Cumberland, York – 1 seat
  • Region D: Hancock, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Waldo – 1 seat

During the week of December 16, each region will hold a virtual meeting. The schedule for each meeting is outlined below, along with a unique link to join the online discussion:

  • December 16 – Region A | 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm | Link
  • December 17 – Region B | 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm | Link
  • December 18 – Region C | 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm | Link

Please join the meeting for the region in which your credit union is headquartered. If you are unsure of which region your credit union belongs to, please reference this list:

If you are hoping to run for a Board seat in 2025, you may want to have some talking points top-of-mind heading into your regional dialogue meeting. If you don’t intend to run in 2025, this session will serve as a good opportunity to network with and learn more about those that do.
