League Releases 2025 Legislative Session Recap

The Maine Credit Union League is pleased to announce the release of our 2025 Legislative Session Recap Report, which highlights the work we accomplished together on behalf of Maine’s credit unions and the nearly 750,000 members they serve.

Throughout this year’s legislative session in Augusta, the League was at the table every step of the way, ensuring that the priorities of credit unions were heard loud and clear. Thanks to our united advocacy, we advanced meaningful policies, protected the interests of credit unions, and strengthened the foundation for future success.

The recap not only captures these highlights but also outlines key legislative outcomes and provides a look ahead at the opportunities before us in 2026. While the Legislature has adjourned, our advocacy continues year-round. The progress we achieved is a direct result of the collective strength, engagement, and commitment of Maine’s credit unions working together.

As we prepare for the year ahead, your partnership will remain essential in protecting and promoting the credit union difference in Augusta. We invite you to read the recap, take pride in what we accomplished together, and stay engaged as we build momentum for 2026.
