"This facility belongs to our credit unions so we appreciate the opportunity to show staff and officials first-hand the operations, network and support that both the Maine Credit Union League and Synergent provide to credit unions from this facility," remarked your League's President John Murphy in his welcome to nearly 50 staff and officials from Maine Highlands FCU visiting the CU Service Center for an Orientation and Visit on Saturday, September 12th.
The three-hour visit included a tour and presentations from all areas of your League and Synergent on the products and services provided. From training, communications and legislative advocacy provided by the trade association (the League) to technology services, creative and print offerings and payment systems, as well as other services, provided by the service organization (Synergent). "We welcome an opportunity to host our credit unions because this is their facility, and it is helpful for them to see how it works, and all the support that both organizations provide to credit unions. Our sole focus is serving credit unions, and we appreciate the fact that Maine Highlands FCU wanted to take the time to bring most of their staff for a visit and an overview of what we do, and the important partnership between the League, Synergent and credit unions," added Murphy.
Rhonda Taylor, President/CEO of Maine Highlands FCU, said, "It is important for my staff and board members to not only see the Credit Union Service Center but to also meet many of the people that provide support to us everyday."
In addition to hosting orientations and visits for individual credit unions periodically during the year, the League also hosts two scheduled Orientations for all credit unions in the spring and fall. The next all-day CU Service Center Orientation, which is always free, is Tuesday, October 20, and registration is now open.
