Are you, or someone at your credit union, conducting financial education presentations in classrooms, or partnering communities? If so, you should be reporting your numbers to the National Youth Involvement Board! The National Youth Involvement Board (NYIB) houses all the statistical data for the number of students reached, and presentations given each year by credit unions nationwide. Submitting this data helps credit unions tell the whole story of our efforts to engage and empower the communities we serve. It also helps leverage our tax exempt status! Last year, credit unions reached over 580,000 students through 17,500 individual and team presentations!
Let’s make the 2018/19 school season a record breaking year! If you’re looking to increase your financial education efforts, reach out to Jake Holmes, Financial Literacy Outreach Coordinator for your League. Whether you need assistance in organizing and facilitating community events, would like to collaborate on a school visit, or simply want to discuss all things financial literacy, Jake is more than happy to help.
