The state’s Best Places to Work list is out and once again, the League and Synergent are on it. The 2021 list recognizes 100 employers in three size categories—including 15 credit unions. The League and Synergent were honored in the medium-size employer category. This is the ninth time the League and Synergent have been named to the Best Places to Work in Maine list.
“We earned this distinction because of our dedicated employees,” said Todd Mason, President/CEO of the Maine Credit Union League and Synergent. “We are a great place to work because our people are caring, enthusiastic, and innovative. They excel at their jobs, and we excel as a company because of the outstanding results they produce. I am so proud of what we have accomplished together over the past year and grateful our entire team is being honored in this way.”
Now in its sixteenth year, the Best Places to Work list is compiled by the Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management and Best Companies Group. Partners endorsing the program include Mainebiz, the Maine State Chamber of Commerce, and Maine HR Convention.
To earn a Best Places to Work in Maine distinction, eligible companies must enter a two-part process. Best Companies Group manages the overall registration and survey process, analyzes the data, and uses their expertise to determine the final rankings.
In a statement shared with Mainebiz about this year’s honorees, Governor Janet Mills said, “The perseverance of Maine businesses throughout these difficult times has kept people at work, kept products on the shelves, kept services available, and kept our economy moving. I congratulate these companies on being named the best places to work in Maine, and I thank them for their many contributions to our state.”
The League and Synergent will be recognized in the October 18 edition of Mainebiz where the rankings for each employer—including the credit union honorees—will be revealed for the first time.
