League and Evergreen CU Remember Board Member Rick Paraschak

The League joins Evergreen Credit Union in extending our condolences to Rick Paraschak’s family, friends, and colleagues. Rick, an Evergreen Credit Union board member, died Sunday of complications from COVID-19.

Rick worked for the Maine Department of Transportation (DOT) where he served as a utility coordinator on construction projects. He also managed a successful excavation business, Earth Solutions, and was a 25-year member of the Naples Fire Department.

Last year, Rick joined Evergreen Credit Union’s Board of Directors. In February, he traveled with several members of Evergreen’s team to Washington, DC, to participate at his first CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference.

“Everyone at Evergreen is saddened by the loss of Rick,” said Jason Lindstrom, President/CEO at Evergreen Credit Union. “He was an outstanding person, who had a great spirit of volunteerism and he would do anything for others.”

Rick was a devoted family man and leaves behind his two children, Ephrem and Esther, and his longtime partner of almost 20 years, Marian Rabe. He will be missed by his credit union family and the greater Naples community, the place he called home for most of his adult life.

“Rick was the board member you wanted to have on your board…smart, always thinking, not afraid to ask questions, and most of all, understanding,” said Lindstrom. “We will truly miss him.”
