KV FCU Presents Check to Waterville & Augusta-area Schools to Settle Hot Lunch Bills

KV FCU employees present a check to help settle school lunch balances in Central Maine.

With unpaid hot lunch bills rising in local Waterville and Augusta-area schools, employees and members of KV Federal Credit Union joined forces and raised money to offset those costs.

Their collaboration paid off in a big way!

On February 27, KV FCU invited nutrition administers from RSU 2, RSU 18, and Augusta and Waterville School Departments to their Waterville branch and presented them a check for $5,504.12 to put toward outstanding lunch balances.

Thanks to the generosity of the team at KV, many local families will receive some much-needed assistance, while also raising awareness about food insecurity in Central Maine.
