At this time of physical distancing, it has never been more important to stay socially connected. On July 15, staff from the Maine Credit Union League connected with members of the management teams from credit unions in the Kennebec Valley (KV) Chapter of Credit Unions during a virtual social hour hosted via WebEx. The event had no formal agenda and served solely as an opportunity to reconnect and catch up with each other.
“We shared stories of our experiences getting through the COVID world,” shared Cheryl Lancaster, Executive Vice President of Member Services for the Maine Credit Union League. “What our families have been up to, a couple of people shared their pets that were in the room with them. It just was a time to get to really see people, even though it was virtually, for the first time in many months. It was nice to reconnect and laugh a little!”
All Chapters are invited to participate in an upcoming virtual social hour. These will be happening on the following dates:
- July 21: Jeannette G. Morin Chapter
- July 22: Bangor Chapter
- July 30: York County and Alex Ferguson Chapters
- August 4: Norm Nolette Chapter
- August 5: Northern Penobscot and Aroostook Chapters
