KSW FCU Welcomes New President/CEO

The Board of Directors of KSW FCU is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Hilt as President & Chief Executive Officer, effective March 9, 2026. Hilt will succeed retiring President & CEO Deseree Gilman, who is leaving after more than 40 years of distinguished service.

Hilt most recently served in a consulting capacity for Gardiner FCU and has held roles at Maine credit unions ranging in asset size from $20 million to $700 million, including serving as KSW’s Belfast Branch Manager from 2011 to 2013. He earned his Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation from CUNA (now America’s Credit Unions) with Honors in 2019. Hilt’s career spans roles from teller through senior leadership positions in operations, lending, and finance.

“The Board is looking forward to working with Jason and continuing our commitment to serving our members and communities,” said John Picchioti, Board Chair at KSW FCU.

“It is a privilege to lead an organization with deep roots in these communities and such a dedicated team,” shared Hilt. “I look forward to working with the board of directors and staff to build on KSW’s strong foundation and continue growing the financial well-being of our members.”

Hilt lives in Litchfield with his husband and their two shelties. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from the University of Maine at Farmington. He also serves as Treasurer of the Bowdoin Community Cares Association, which tackles food insecurity as well as community needs and resources.
