At the League and Synergent’s holiday celebration on December 14, employees joined the Senior Leadership Team in recognizing an exceptional colleague. Todd Mason, President/CEO of the League and Synergent, announced that Kathy Crawford is this year’s recipient of the Champion Award. The award recognizes the League and Synergent’s employee of the year.
Kathy has been with the organization for 26 years and serves as a Research & Escalation Analyst—a position she was recently promoted to in November. Among her many duties, she is responsible for high-level and extended research cases, as well as ongoing internal training of the Customer Operations team. For challenges that require assistance outside of Customer Operations, Kathy serves as the primary liaison for process improvement and knowledge sharing between Synergent departments.
“It is no surprise to me that Kathy was selected to be this year’s Champion,” shared Tucker Geoffroy, Synergent Team Lead – Customer Service. “Kathy has earned this award through the hard work and dedication she shows credit unions and her fellow colleagues each and every day. She is not only willing to go the extra mile, she will happily go the extra ten miles to make sure credit unions feel supported.”
Throughout her tenure with Synergent, Kathy has received several company accolades. In 2022 alone, she earned two nominations for a quarterly Pillar and Collaborator Awards. These awards recognize employees who demonstrate teamwork, service, and respect and possess the values of integrity and financial stewardship.
“I can think of countless times when Kathy has stepped up to work on the complicated issues, stayed late to meet deadlines, or jumped in to assist a fellow teammate with a struggle they were having,” added Geoffroy. “She is a valued resource for all departments and frequently is called upon to provide her expert opinion. She regularly mentors new and existing staff to ensure we are all delivering the best service possible as a team. She is a true team player in every sense.”
“It’s still sinking in that I was nominated for this award,” said Crawford. “This is a true honor to be included on the list with the prior nominees. I have learned so much from these people and from so many more. After 26 years at Synergent, I have built some great relationships with the people I work with including credit union staff. What I hope for at the end of each day is that I have helped our credit unions support their members by sharing my knowledge and finding the best solutions for their challenges. I’m looking forward to continuing to help my team grow and provide the best service to our credit unions and to each other.”
On behalf of the League, Synergent, and the credit unions we proudly serve in Maine and across the country, we congratulate Kathy on this noteworthy achievement. Our collective success is driven by employees like her who exemplify our shared People Helping People mission. This is an honor that is truly well-deserved!
