June marks the return of a fun annual event sponsored by New Dimensions FCU—the Cruisin’ for a Cure Car Show—taking place on June 3 at the Robert Lafleur Airport from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. This special event, now in its ninth year, raises funds for the Maine Children’s Cancer Program (MCCP).
The show will take place rain or shine and offer many classes including five new class categories! Car show participants will be asked to pay a $15 entry fee. Spectators will be asked to pay $5 to support MCCP, though it is not required. Following the event, car owners will be presented with first, second, and third-place trophies donated by area businesses.
Once again, the credit union is partnering with Darling’s Ice Cream for a Cause truck to offer sweet treats to the event’s attendees for a voluntary donation. Since 2012, the truck has raised over $490,000 for over 2,300 charities across the state of Maine. Additional food items will be available for purchase as well.
New Dimensions FCU will be conducting a 50/50 raffle and selling $500 Cash for Kids raffle tickets. You can purchase tickets beginning on May 1 at any of the credit union’s three branch locations or buy them at the event. Winners will be announced at the end of the show.
