International Credit Union Day Honors 75 Years of Cooperation and Collaboration

On October 19, credit unions and leagues from across the country and around the globe came together to celebrate the 75th anniversary of International Credit Union Day. Our movement has a rich history that is deeply rooted in People Helping People and that’s exactly what credit unions demonstrated yesterday. From member appreciation events to food drives to time spent volunteering in the community, credit unions made the most out of the annual celebration.

For our part, the League and Synergent organized a non-perishable food drive to benefit the Westbrook Food Pantry in our hometown. With a goal of collecting 75 items to commemorate the 75th anniversary of ICU Day, staff over delivered and donated a total 284 goods! Many staff made personal financial donations to the Campaign as well, contributing nearly $300.

Our League hopes everyone enjoyed celebrating ICU Day with their members and communities. We greatly appreciate everything you do to make a meaningful difference for those you serve!
