Following the annual Ending Hunger Celebration Luncheon that took place in February, where the top credit union fundraisers and volunteers for Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger were recognized, the League’s Social Responsibility Committee agreed on implementing a brand-new award opportunity for the 2025 fundraising year. On February 10 at the 2026 Ending Hunger Celebration Luncheon, the credit union who facilitates the most creative Campaign fundraiser in 2025 will be presented with an award—will that be you?
Credit unions throughout Maine dedicate countless hours to raising both funds and awareness for the Campaign—among many other critical charities. The imagination that is poured into a wide variety of events throughout each year deserves recognition—regardless of fundraising totals. This new award, the Innovation in Action Award, will honor unique credit union efforts to uplift hungry Mainers in need.
Nominations are Open!
From October 31 through November 30, credit unions can nominate original fundraisers that fuel the fight against hunger for consideration. To see all details and guidelines, as well as to submit your initiative(s), please visit the League’s website.
