HRCU has announced the promotion of Travis Bissonnette to Chief Lending Officer, recognizing his leadership, strategic impact, and long-standing commitment to the credit union and its members.

Bissonnette began his career at HRCU over a decade ago as Consumer Lending Manager. His performance and leadership led to a series of promotions, including Assistant Vice President of Consumer Lending, Vice President of Member Business Services, and most recently to Senior Vice President of Lending.

In his new role as Chief Lending Officer, Bissonnette will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of HRCU’s lending operations, with responsibility for staff development, portfolio performance, and continued sustainable lending growth across all product lines.

Throughout his tenure, Bissonnette has been instrumental in advancing HRCU’s diverse loan portfolio. While managing critical strategic initiatives, he is responsible for lending workflow efficiencies, oversight of all mortgage operations, auto loan optimization to enhance efficiency, and member experience and accountability for business lending growth and support. His strong awareness of market conditions and disciplined leadership have helped position HRCU as one of the premier credit union lenders in New Hampshire.

“Travis has consistently demonstrated the vision, expertise, and leadership required to guide our lending strategy forward,” said Brian Hughes, President & CEO of HRCU. “His ability to balance growth, risk management, and member-focused decision-making has been central to our success. This promotion reflects both his past contributions and our confidence in his continued leadership.”

Beyond operational excellence, Bissonnette exemplifies HRCU’s culture of doing what is right for members. He is widely respected as a caring and supportive leader to his staff and represents the credit union with professionalism and credibility throughout the region.

A longtime Rochester, NH resident, his commitment extends beyond the workplace through exceptional community involvement and volunteerism with Roger Allen Park Association, Spaulding Baseball Boosters Inc., and Rochester Rotary Club—reinforcing HRCU’s mission and values.

“I am honored to step into the role of Chief Lending Officer and grateful for the trust placed in me,” shared Bissonnette. “HRCU’s mission, culture, and commitment to our members are what make this organization special. I look forward to continuing to work alongside our talented team to deliver strong lending solutions that support our members and communities.”
