Help Us Oppose Harmful Amendments in the GENIUS Act

Our League is working closely with our industry partners at America’s Credit Unions (ACU) to oppose harmful amendments to the Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins (GENIUS) Act (S. 1582). The Senate will begin consideration of this bill when it returns to Washington next week. While Senate leadership has not yet indicated what amendments will be allowed, our League is encouraging credit unions to engage with Senators Collins’ and King’s offices on interchange.

Late last week, ACU sent a letter to Senate leadership opposing any interchange amendments to the GENIUS Act. To help make your voice heard, credit unions can utilize ACU’s Interchange Works website to send an electronic letter to Senators Collins and King. At this time, outreach is currently being targeted to members of the Senate.
