Fun on the Greens! Ending Hunger Convention Golf Tournament Brings Credit Unions and Vendors to Cape Elizabeth

For the first time, the Annual Ending Hunger Convention Golf Tournament was held at Purpoodock Golf Club in Cape Elizabeth. The new location provided the perfect setting for a day of fun, competition, and charity.

This year’s event was generously supported by many credit union and business sponsors. Without their support, events like our tournament would not be possible. In addition, 140 golfers participated at the tournament to benefit Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger.

While the tournament is put on with charity in mind, top performing golfers and teams were recognized for their accomplishments on the greens. The following individuals and teams were recognized with awards:

First-Place Team Gross: Bangor FCU
Second-Place Team Gross: CU Insurance Solutions
First-Place Team Net Score: NDBS, LLC
Second-Place Team Net Score: Granite State Development
Male Longest Drive: Nate Dodge
Female Longest Drive: Lucky D’Ascanio
Male Closest to the Pin: Mike Foley
Female Closest to the Pin: Linda Kirk

The League would like to thank everyone who played a role at this year’s event. Extra fun was had at Hole #2 supporting The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital and on the Putting Green.
