Forbes Announces 2022 Best-In-State Credit Unions

For the fourth year in a row, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to produce its list of the Best-In-State Credit Unions. More than 26,000 people from all 50 states were surveyed about the financial institutions where they maintain accounts.

According to Forbes, survey respondents provided an overall satisfaction score and answered whether they would recommend an institution to friends and family. They also responded to questions about satisfaction in six key areas: trust, terms and conditions (including reasonable and transparent fees), branch services, digital services, customer service, and financial advice. Just 3.4% of credit unions across the country made the cut for the best-in-state rankings. Those credit unions recognized from Maine include:

  1. Evergreen CU
  2. Maine State CU
  3. Maine Family FCU
  4. NorState FCU
  5. Franklin-Somerset FCU

Northeast CU was recognized as a Best-In-State Credit Union in New Hampshire, ranking third on the list.
