Forbes Announces 2021 Best Credit Unions In Each State

For the third year in a row, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to produce its list of the “Best Credit Unions in Each State.” Nearly 25,000 customers were surveyed for their opinions on their current and former banking relationships.

According to Forbes, credit unions were scored on overall recommendations and satisfaction, as well as five subdimensions (trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services, and financial advice). Of the 5,068 credit unions nationwide, just 3.6% made the list.

Credit unions recognized as Best in Maine include:

  1. University Credit Union (UCU)
  2. Town & Country FCU
  3. New Dimensions FCU

Northeast CU earned the number one spot on the list of Best in New Hampshire credit unions.
