Five County CU Strengthens Leadership Team with Recent Promotions


Eight long-time employees were recently promoted as part of a company-wide reorganization to prepare for future leadership needs at the senior level.

As previously announced, Jennifer Andersen has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer and Mike Foley to Chief Growth Officer. New promotion announcements include Kim Hutchins to Vice President of Branch Operations; Shawna Chute to Vice President of Risk Management; Dan Leeman to Vice President of Service Center & Delivery Channels; Mollie Ryan to Vice President of Finance; Chris Chute to Vice President of Lending; and Shaun Carr to Vice President of Talent Development & Human Resources.

Kim Hutchins has been with Five County CU for 26 years. She started her career on the teller line and has served in various roles including many years in branch management and recently as the AVP of Operations. As the Vice President of Branch Operations, Hutchins oversees the credit union’s 15 physical branch locations, ensuring high quality member service in the retail space.

Shawna Chute has been with the credit union for 23 years. She started as a teller before moving into a collections career path. As AVP of Risk Management, Chute was responsible for collections, fraud, compliance, and BSA. In her role as Vice President of Risk Management, she will add enterprise risk management, card disputes, and serving as a liaison to the Supervisory Committee to her portfolio.

Dan Leeman has been with Five County CU for 23 years. He started as a part-time teller in high school and has served in a variety of departments and positions throughout his career. As Vice President of Service Center & Delivery Channels, his role has expanded to include all remote delivery channel options including ITMs, video, mobile, online, call centers, and ATMs.

Mollie Ryan has been with the credit union for 20 years. She joined in 2004 as a per diem file clerk while still attending high school. Once she graduated college, Ryan took a full-time position, serving as Finance Manager and recently as the AVP of Finance. Ryan earned her MBA and received her Certified CU Executive Designation. As Vice President of Finance, she oversees the day-to-day operations of finance and quality assurance.

Chris Chute has been with Five County CU for 23 years. He joined the credit union as a teller and quickly moved to a loan officer position. He founded the centralized underwriting department in 2009 and most recently served as AVP of Underwriting. As Vice President of Lending, Chute will oversee the implementation of strategic loan-related initiatives and the collaborative development and launch of new loan products.

Shaun Carr has been with the credit union for 20 years. He started as a teller and has served in a variety of management roles. Most recently, Carr was the AVP of Service Development. Carr is a Certified Professional in Talent Development and a Certified CU Executive. As Vice President of Talent Development & Human Resources, he will oversee the Talent Development and Human Resources departments and the credit union’s financial wellness initiatives.
