The League would like to thank those credit unions that promoted last month’s Fight Hunger Bag sale at Hannaford Supermarket’s Augusta and Brewer locations. Due to your support and the generosity of shoppers in these communities, Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger raised $579 during the month of June from this program.
The Fight Hunger Bag Program is an eco-friendly way Hannaford is supporting local nonprofits. While we don’t know when, where, and if the Campaign will be selected again to benefit from this program, we appreciate Hannaford’s strong support of hunger relief initiatives in our state. The League will communicate any upcoming opportunities if they become available.
