Evergreen CU Expands Community Partnerships

Evergreen CU has two new Community Partners—Maine Mayhem Football and Maine Footy United Women’s Soccer.

As Maine Mayhem’s Platinum Sponsor, Evergreen CU is directly helping the team pursue a National Championship in the Women’s Football Alliance, which has over 60 teams across the country.

“Last year, the Mayhem were the Northeast Regional Champions,” said Kate Archambault, Maine Mayhem’s General Manager. “We are striving for even greater success this year. We can’t achieve that goal without the support of our community partners like Evergreen CU.”

Maine Footy held their first home game on June 1. The team is celebrating their second season.

“Not only do we have a top team, but we’ve funded a second team for the best high school girls in southern Maine,” said Todd Sniper, Maine Footy’s Director of Football and Board Director. “That’s a new concept for anybody—that the program is funded and free. Without our fantastic sponsors, like Evergreen CU, this doesn’t happen.”

Evergreen CU’s Community Partners program was created in 2016 to develop deeper connections with organizations and nonprofits that echo the credit union’s mission.

“Our team invests time and energy into our Community Partners so we have the privilege to help further their missions,” said Jason Lindstrom, President/CEO at Evergreen CU.
