Basketball season is upon us, and the Ending Hunger Celtics Sweepstakes is here to help fans celebrate big while supporting our hungry neighbors in need! The League is excited to bring this fundraising opportunity back for another chance to uplift our shared social responsibility mission: Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger—all while providing your credit union and your communities an opportunity to see Maine’s very own Cooper Flagg play at TD Garden!
From now until January 9, participating credit unions will collect suggested donations of $10 in exchange for entry into the sweepstakes. One lucky winner will receive two lower-level seating tickets to the Celtics vs. Mavericks game at TD Garden on Friday, March 6 at 7:00 pm. Included with these hard-to-find tickets is round-trip transportation on the Amtrak Downeaster, departing from whichever station is most convenient.
Only 2,000 tickets will be sold! Credit unions can request up to 50 tickets to start promoting this fundraiser. Tickets will be mailed to credit unions as requests are received, and if there is availability, additional tickets can be provided. Half of the proceeds generated by credit unions will go toward their 2025 Ending Hunger fundraising total.
Since we are coordinating a sweepstakes and not a raffle, a ticket can be provided to someone for a suggested Campaign donation of $10 per ticket. However, no purchase is required. If someone would like to enter the sweepstakes without making a contribution to the Campaign, they must direct their request to the League as explicitly outlined in the sweepstakes rules. Once their request is received, the League will enter them into the sweepstakes.
Complete tickets and a check for the proceeds must be returned to the League by January 9 when all 2025 Ending Hunger fundraising dollars are due. You can also return your unsold tickets, or you may choose to shred them.
The winner will be drawn on Tuesday, February 10 at the annual Ending Hunger Celebration Luncheon (save the date!). Gameday tickets will be distributed electronically, and details regarding transportation will be provided directly to the winner.
To sign up your credit union to participate, please visit the League’s website to request your sweepstakes tickets.
