As we begin a new year of fundraising activities to support Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger, it is important to submit any outstanding 2020 Ending Hunger funds to the League by January 8. Having your annual funding calculations in by this deadline ensures we can accurately report our 2020 fundraising totals at our celebration event on February 9.
We are hoping that we will once again have participation from every credit union in Maine!
Food Drives
If your credit union sponsored any food drives over the past year, please include the following information to have this activity added to your 2020 fundraising total:
- A very brief description of the food drive.
- The total dollar value of the goods collected.
- Name of the recipient(s).
- Acknowledgement from the recipient(s) that they received your donation.

Register Today for the Annual Ending Hunger Campaign Celebration
Please join us for a special virtual ceremony to celebrate Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger on February 9. Registration is open on the League’s website. There is no registration cap for this virtual event, but we ask that you RSVP by February 5.
During the event, the Campaign’s overall fundraising results for 2020 will be announced, and the top fundraising credit unions will be recognized. The event also will feature special guest speaker Tim Sample. The legendary Maine humorist will share his personal stories about being food insecure as a young man.
