When teamwork meets a good cause, everyone wins!
On Sunday, October 19, Dirigo FCU hosted its 6th Annual Bowl for Ending Hunger Tournament at Just-In-Time Recreation in Lewiston. The 1950s-themed event rolled in a great turnout of staff, members, and credit union partners from Cumberland County FCU, Maine Family FCU, and Great Falls FCU for a day filled with community spirit, friendly competition, and fun.
With the generous support of event and lane sponsors, along with enthusiastic participation from attendees, the tournament raised an impressive $3,100 for Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger. Bowlers of all ages enjoyed themed décor, raffle baskets, and a lively 50/50 drawing, all contributing to a great cause.
In a show of commitment, CEO Mark Samson announced an additional $5,000 donation on behalf of Dirigo FCU to support the $100,000 Ending Hunger Challenge. Together, these efforts highlight the collective dedication of Maine’s credit unions to making a lasting impact in the fight against hunger across our communities.
