To celebrate Credit Union Youth Month and Youth Financial Literacy Month, staff at Dirigo FCU provided any child who opened a new account during the month of April a copy of the book, The Berenstain Bears‘ Dollars and Sense. This popular children’s book teaches about money and responsibility.
Staff from Dirigo also visited 10 local elementary schools, where they read and donated copies of the Berenstain Bears book to students. Between the two efforts, 500 copies were distributed during the month of April.
