Desjardins Elected League Director


At the recent Aroostook Chapter of Credit Unions Meeting, David Desjardins, President/CEO of Acadia FCU, was elected to a three-year term on the Maine Credit Union League Board.

Desjardins was appointed to the League Board last June to serve the remaining year of Ken Hensler's term.  Hensler stepped down as League Director upon his retirement as President/CEO of The County FCU in June 2014.

Desjardins begins his new three-year term at the conclusion your League's Annual Meeting on May 15, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay.  He has served as President/CEO of Acadia FCU since 2004.  Upon his election, Desjardins said, "I look forward to representing not only the Aroostook Chapter credit unions' interests but those of all Maine credit unions on the League Board.  There are many exciting things happening with Maine's credit unions."

John Murphy, President of your League, congratulated Desjardins upon his election, and said, "Dave's perspective and long history of being a part of Maine's credit unions as both a volunteer and as a CEO is of benefit to our Board."
