CUSO Home Lending & BLS Are Lunching Local

On October 13, credit unions and credit union partners nationwide will participate in the 9th Annual CU Lunch Local  to support local restaurants and small businesses. The event coincides with International Credit Union Week activities.

Due to the impact of COVID-19 on Maine’s small business community—especially the restaurant and food services industry—CUSO Home Lending and Business Lending Solutions (BLS) have jump-started their CU Lunch Local celebrations. They have provided all of their team members with $50 gift cards to area restaurants to thank them for processing over $550 million in residential loan originations and closing over $23 million worth of loans in the last two months.

“We have seen an unprecedented growth in loan origination volume the past few months due to the low interest rate environment,” said Russell Cole, President and CEO at CUSO Home Lending and BLS. “In addition, we have assisted over 1,000 members with loan forbearances and modifications, waiving over $400,000 in fees. The CUSO Home Lending and BLS teams have been instrumental in providing exceptional service, affordable mortgages, and commercial growth to home and business owners throughout Maine. We owe our record-breaking success to our teams, and celebrate their dedication and hard work during this extraordinary time.”
