CUNA Releases Paper Examining the Credit Union Difference

CUNA has released a paper on the results of their 2022 National Voter Poll, which confirms that credit union members have greater levels of financial resilience than nonmembers. The poll examined how credit union members and nonmembers feel about their financial institution.

According to CUNA, “the poll shows credit union characteristics unambiguously translate to greater financial resilience and higher levels of financial well-being for credit union members. Credit union members fare better across the board on the four key components of financial health: spending, saving, borrowing, and planning, according to the Financial Health Network.”

The paper’s findings will be used in future advocacy efforts with state and federal policymakers on credit union issues.
