The CU Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Collective is an expanding group within the credit union movement devoted to furthering DEI, a shared cooperative principle. They believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion is good business and is fundamental to a vibrant, relevant, and growing credit union movement. Founding members of the CU DEI Collective include national credit union system organizations and service providers, committed to the movement’s cooperative principles.
The CU DEI Collective is currently seeking nominations for six Governing Body seats. Seats range from 1–3-year terms.
“We are looking forward to having diverse voices and perspectives within the governing body of this nascent group,” said Victor Miguel Corro, Chairman of the CU DEI Collective. “Credit unions’ fundamental mission is to provide access to financial services to all by being relentlessly inclusive. The CU DEI Collective needs to grow and establish itself based upon that motivation.”
The DEI Collective Governing Body consists of 21 members. The following seats are up for nomination:
- 1 Seat: Diversity-Centric Organization – 3-year term
- 1 Seat: Other Trade/Professional Associations – 3-year term
- 2 Seats: Credit Unions – 1-year term
- 2 Seats: At-Large – 1-year term
