Credit unions continue to find meaningful ways to support their communities, and one upcoming event offers a great opportunity to do just that.
On Saturday, June 6, New Dimensions FCU will host the annual Cruisin’ for a Cure Car Show at the Waterville Regional Airport. The event benefits the Maine Children’s Cancer Program, helping provide critical care and support to children and families across the state.
The show will feature a wide range of classic and modern vehicles, with classes spanning from pre-1930s models to present-day cars and trucks. Attendees can expect a family-friendly atmosphere with food, prizes, and awards, including People’s Choice and Best of Show honors.
Registration for vehicles will take place from 8:00 to 10:00 am, with the show running from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Awards will be presented at 1:00 pm. A $5 suggested donation is requested for spectators, and vehicle registration is $15 per entry.
Events like Cruisin’ for a Cure highlight the credit union People Helping People philosophy in action. By bringing together members, local businesses, and community partners, this event not only celebrates a shared passion for automobiles but also raises awareness and funds for an important cause.
Credit unions and their members are encouraged to attend, participate, and help spread the word. Supporting initiatives like this strengthens the impact we can make together across Maine.
