Credit Unions Are Recognized for Being Outstanding Workplaces

Working in the credit union movement is incredibly rewarding. Our industry’s hardworking employees don’t contribute their time, energy, and talent for the recognition. They do it because they believe in our shared People Helping People philosophy. Receiving an honor is simply an added bonus.

Sixteen Maine credit unions were recently notified that they have been named one of the the Best Places to Work in Maine. Now in its 18th consecutive year, the Best Places to Work awards program recognizes businesses that consistently foster an outstanding workplace environment. There are 134 businesses named to this year’s list in three employer size categories.

According to Mainebiz, “winners were selected according to two criteria: an evaluation of each nominee’s workplace policies, practices and demographics, worth approximately 25% of the evaluation score, and an employee survey, which made up 75% of the score.”

The 2023 rankings will be announced in October at a special event at the Augusta Civic Center.

In the small employer category (15-49 U.S. employees), credit union winners include:
