Credit Union Message Lights Up Cross Insurance Center


To increase exposure for Maine's Credit Unions in the Bangor area, your League's Statewide Awareness Campaign positioned the message, "Use a credit union and own it" at the Cross Insurance Center with a new sponsorship.

The message will light up the openings and intermissions of major events via the LED ribbon board that surrounds the arena. The advertising was seen at the recent state high school basketball playoffs by nearly 45,000 people attending over the past month. Upcoming events include regional garden and boat shows, along with several musicals and sports events in the spring. The message is part of a new format for the 2015 Statewide Awareness Campaign, which will air over 15,500 spots on targeted television programming. The campaign includes four different testimonials. Variations of the messages have been developed for radio and digital advertising.

Within two months, YouTube advertising is showing strong engagement with pre-roll advertising being watched in entirety, with the number of click-throughs to full videos growing 35% each week. The campaign's Google remarketing program has had over 5,000 click-throughs in five weeks, and Google display advertising engagement has grown 37% each week since the beginning of the year. Over 4,000 views of the Apollo Band video story have been tracked since early January.
