During this webinar, the National Cooperative Business Association CLUSA will offer a condensed version of the planned Cooperative Policy Roundtable, beginning with an overview of the policies and efforts in New England to support the development of cooperatives as a tool to strengthen community health, equity and sustainability. The event will feature the following presenters:
- Erbin Crowell, Executive Director, Neighboring Food Co-op Association
- Noemi Giszpenc, Executive Director, Cooperative Development Institute
- Roger Noonan, President, New England Farmers Union
- Adam Trott, Executive Director, Valley Alliance of Worker Cooperatives
- Joe Bergeron, President and CEO, Association of Vermont Credit Unions
The webinar also will include a snapshot of the current state of cooperatives in New England’s local and regional economy through a sector-specific lens. Webinar attendees will learn about findings from previous roundtables and hear an update on the forthcoming policy paper expected to inform needed policy changes at the local, state and federal levels. An opportunity for Q&A will be available at the close of the webinar.
