To commemorate Earth Day, Community CU will host a Community Recycle Day Drive-Thru event this Saturday from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at 40 Stanley Street in Auburn. Community partners will be joining forces with the credit union to offer a convenient and free way to recycle items like documents and tires. New and gently used (and clean) reusable resources like art supplies, craft materials, school and business supplies, home furnishings, and sports equipment will also be collected for the SHAREcenter.
The Community CU team will also be accepting clothing and non-perishables for the Kaydenz Kitchen Pantry, and items for Kommunity Kritters, a local pet pantry. North Coast Services will be on hand to take in electronic devices such as TVs, monitors, computers, laptops, and printers, and a can and bottle drive will be held on-site to benefit the SHAREcenter.
This event has been happening in Auburn since 2009, and you do not need to be a member of Community CU to participate in this free recycling effort. Please visit www.facebook.com/communitycreditunion for additional information.
