Community CU is celebrating 75 years of serving members and its local community. In recognition of this milestone, the credit union has been revisiting its early days of collaboration. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, Community CU employees met with Auburn municipal officials in recognition of the important role city workers played in the credit union’s history.

In 1994, Community CU merged with Municipal Employees of Auburn FCU. After the merger, several representatives from Municipal Employees of Auburn FCU’s Board continued to volunteer, including Hugh Keene, who retired from Community CU’s Board in 2014 after 47 years of credit union service.

The League extends our congratulations to the team at Community CU for 75 years of service to the people of Androscoggin County.
