Central Maine CU Donates $2,500 to Local Meals on Wheels Program

To commemorate National Senior Day, Central Maine CU donated $2,500 to Meals on Wheels, a program of SeniorsPlus. This local non-profit delivers meals to home-bound seniors living in the communities of Lewiston, Auburn, Lisbon, Sabattus, Greene, and Livermore Falls.

“Central Maine Credit Union is committed to insuring hot and ready meals are delivered to the doorsteps of seniors in the Lewiston-Auburn area,” said Vicki Stuart, President & CEO of Central Maine CU. “Due to the ongoing pandemic, having consistent access to well-balance meals has become even more important. We’ve heard from a number of members about the importance of SeniorsPlus’ Meals on Wheel program and the difference it makes in our community. We are proud to support their program”

To make this special donation, Central Maine CU used funds it raised as part of Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger.
