Maine’s credit union movement is fortunate. Its foundation has flourished thanks to the contributions made by exceptional leaders like Alexander Ferguson, Ted Desveaux, and John Murphy. Another individual who has left an indelible mark on the industry in Maine, across New England, and nationally is Steve Roy. On Monday, September 30, after 42 exceptional years and on his work anniversary at Tricorp FCU, Steve will retire as President/CEO.
We hope you will join our League in wishing Steve a happy, healthy, and well-deserved retirement.
“Steve’s contributions to our industry are unmatched,” shared Elise Baldacci, President of the Maine Credit Union League. “He is a tireless advocate for credit unions, their members, and the People Helping People philosophy. Over the years, I’ve learned so much from him. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is one of the kindest individuals you will ever meet. I know I speak for all Maine credit unions in wishing Steve and his wife, Carol, the very best as they embark on this exciting new chapter.”
Congratulations, Steve. Even in retirement, you will remain a credit union champion!
