Casco FCU is always coming up with new ideas to help give back to its community. The credit union recently wrapped up a Fuel the Love raffle to benefit Keep ME Warm, the United Way of Southern Maine’s fuel assistance program. From January 17 to February 14, the credit union sold raffle tickets to win $500 to be used toward heating assistance. The winner could use the money to purchase oil, propane, or pellets to heat their home.
Last Thursday, the Casco FCU team presented the United Way of Southern Maine with a check for $1,550. They also were pleased to provide longtime Casco FCU member, Norma with a check for $500 for holding the winning raffle ticket.
“With the cost of fuel going up so much this year, we know many people are struggling to heat their homes,” shared Nichole Davis, Executive VP/Chief Lending Officer at Casco FCU. “Our mission at Casco is to promote the financial well-being of our community and Fuel the Love was one small way we could do that. We’re so grateful for the generosity of our members who made it possible for us to support our neighbors in need in southern Maine.”
