Casco FCU Demonstrates Their Appreciation for Members

Casco FCU members grab lunch at the food truck catered by Brian’s BBQ Grill.

Casco FCU recently celebrated summer and their members with two special events. The credit union hosted a member appreciation barbecue at its Ossipee Trail (Gorham) branch on July 7, and another at its Main Street Gorham location on August 4. Members enjoyed delicious food including pulled pork, brisket, sandwiches, and hot dogs catered by Brian’s BBQ Grill.

In addition, sweets from Cookie Love 207, a nonprofit started by Bonny Eagle High School student, Maggie Cook, were available for purchase. Cook sold her chocolate cookies at both events to raise money for Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger. Thanks to members’ generosity, she donated $230 to the Campaign. Over the past three years, Cookie Love 207 has raised over $15,000 for various charities such as Make-A-Wish Maine, Wounded Heroes Program of Maine, Good Shepherd Food Bank, Maine Cancer Foundation, and the Campaign for Ending Hunger.

Showing appreciation for members with events like these is a great way to spend a summer day!
