The team at Casco FCU always is looking for new and fun ways to raise money for Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger. On June 18, the credit union held its first ever Ending Hunger Car Wash at its Ossipee Trail branch.
For a minimum donation of $5, visitors to the credit union could get their cars sparkling clean. Thanks to the community’s support and to the Team Casco volunteers, the credit union raised $243 for the Campaign for Ending Hunger—money which will support local food pantries.
“It was a beautiful day to be out in our community connecting with our neighbors,” said Patty Kenney, Casco FCU Community Relations Manager. “We are so grateful to everyone who came out to show their support. We are seeing an increased need at our local food pantries so this work is more important than ever.”
