On December 26, an editorial by University Credit Union President & CEO Matthew Walsh was featured in the Bangor Daily News. Walsh’s commentary focuses on the problem of food insecurity on college campuses and the importance of on-campus food pantries. He also details the efforts University Credit Union is undertaking to combat this issue here in Maine.
As Walsh states, “Food and education should never be mutually exclusive,” – a point which exemplifies why Maine’s Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger is a critical statewide initiative.
