Brewer FCU Hosts Annual Disc Golf Event to Help End Hunger

On October 20, nearly 20 teams came out in support of Brewer FCU’s annual Disc Golf to End Hunger Tournament. The event, held at DR Disc Golf in Orrington, was full of comradery, fun, and friendly competition.

Ryan Enman, owner at DR Disc Golf, is a strong supporter of the annual event and has played a key role in its continued success. Enman has not only provided the credit union with the course, he has offered his technical assistance during the event, which welcomed over 60 people this year alone!

Following the 18-hole competition, disc golfers returned to a pizza party complete with door prizes. The winning team took home a prize and some sought-after bragging rights.

“The disc golf tournament is a unique and fun event that engages both members and nonmembers in support of the Ending Hunger Campaign,” shared Dave DeFroscia, President and CEO of Brewer FCU. “It has been great to see the event grow each year with new and returning players—all committed to supporting our local food cupboards.”
