Beginning my credit union journey in 2003, immediately, I became personally and professionally invested in the financial good we bring to our communities. I’ve been all in since drinking the “Credit Union Kool-aid”!
I’ve been blessed with career advancement opportunities and leaders that gave me tools and resources to develop my skills. My credit union career path has been heavily reliant upon on- the-job-training, collaboration with other marketers across the state of Maine, and most of all the CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council. These many channels of information have provided me with the confidence and knowledge needed to implement strategies for the Credit Union as well as grow professionally. By sharing struggles, successes, and ideas with other marketers, our credit unions became successful individually and collectively. We move together as a giant cooperative entity to become financial institutions of choice.
If selected for the CUNA Marketing Council, I will bring my credit union pom-poms and continue my quest to have others join the movement and experience the full value and benefit of being part of a remarkable and exciting environment! Thank you for your consideration!

As a credit union marketer of 18 years, a member of the CUNA MBD Council for 8 years, and a CUCME designee, I have seen products, communication channels and regulations evolve quickly. It is imperative for council members to support each other by sharing ideas, networking and expanding knowledge of our industry. I am hopeful of becoming an Executive Committee Member to continue these opportunities and to improve our council for our members.
For several years, I have been involved with the Diamond Awards as a judge, committee member and recipient. I have also judged the Marketing and BD Professionals of the Year. I have learned that being involved with our council is critical to the success of our industry and our careers. I look forward to working with other executive committee members to encourage more involvement, greater attendance, and a passion for learning from our fellow council members.

I have been part of the credit union movement for over 15 years. People helping people is a driver amongst credit unions. My mantra, every member, every time, everyone matters. I believe when we do things for the right reasons great things tend to happen. It is in the small and simple acts that miracles take place. This is true in the business world as well as in my personal life.
Over the last six years, it has been an honor to work with some of the giants in the credit union industry. Jason Lindstrom and Andy Reed, among many others are heroes who helped to guide and mentor me as I began my journey into the business development world. These strategic thinkers are giants in the industry and have worked to serve people with no thought of reward or compensation.
Serving on the executive committee not only will provide a continued opportunity to build lasting friendships and deep relationships, it will also allow me a greater capacity to serve other credit unions as they help to serve their members.

My love for Credit Unions continues to grow as I see both my own Credit Union and my industry partners flourish. My passion is Marketing, and I’ve seen firsthand how effective marketing strategy can bring a Credit Union to the next level. I believe that innovation is crucial for the future of this industry, and I put that mindset to good use in my day-to-day job and in professional development. One example of this is how recently I incorporated Behavioral Economics into my Credit Union’s marketing, which applies elements of psychology to economics behaviors, to create more effective campaigns. I guided my team to explore and research new and innovative ways to improve our messaging with these techniques, and as a result we saw an improvement in our return. I aim to continue evolving so I can push myself and my peers to be the best that we can be.
