Bangor FCU Raises Over $10,000 at 11th Annual Ending Hunger Golf Tournament

Smiles all around for everyone who participated in Bangor FCU’s 11th Annual Ending Hunger Golf Tournament.

On September 4, Bangor FCU held its 11th Annual Ending Hunger Golf Tournament, a major part of their yearly Ending Hunger fundraising efforts. Since its inception in 2013, the tournament has raised over $100,000 for local food pantries and organizations helping battle food insecurity in their communities. This year, a record 20 teams helped propel Bangor FCU over the $10,000 mark.

“It’s fantastic that we get to do this event to benefit these different organizations that battle food insecurity in our backyards,” said Cody Morgan, Marketing Director for Bangor FCU. “It’s a growing problem, and the partners we deal with, their need grows every single year. For us to come out on the course and raise over $10,000 in a single day, and at the end of the year be able to distribute $30,000 to $40,000 to our local food partners, it’s an incredible thing. It’s a great part of what we do, not only as an organization, but alongside all the other credit unions across the state.”

The credit union would like to thank each and every team and sponsor that made this incredible fundraiser possible. Their contributions helped make it an amazing day out on the links.
