Atlantic FCU’s commitment to ending hunger runs deep. From their employees to their volunteers and members, combatting hunger in Maine is a mission they get behind.
In July, the credit union launched a unique fundraiser. They encouraged their members to use their Atlantic debit cards and the Atlantic FCU Foundation promised to donate $30,000 to Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger if they collectively reached a total of one million swipes during the month.
Once again, Atlantic FCU’s members rose to the occasion. They not only reached their one million swipe goal—they surpassed it, delivering 1,058,817 swipes during the month of July. As a result of exceeding their goal, the credit union is donating $31,761 to the Campaign!
This initiative demonstrates how one small action (or swipe) can produce a meaningful result.
