After 34 Years of Dedicated Service, Susan Whitehead Retires from NorState FCU

NorState FCU and its Board of Directors have announced the retirement of Susan G. Whitehead. During her 34 years with NorState FCU, Sue has held various positions and has spent the last nine years as President/CEO. Her appointment made Sue the first female CEO in NorState FCU’s history.

“Sue has always kept our members evolving needs as her highest priority,” stated Dr. David Mitchell, NorState FCU Board Director.

“Her time in service to our credit union has brought a wealth of institutional knowledge and has been a key component in my ability to serve the credit union well,” added Leigh Smith, Chairman of NorState FCU’s Board of Directors. “I wish her a relaxing and restful future.”

“In my 34 years of service to NorState FCU, I have been honored to work with many devoted and dedicated financial professionals throughout the state and within our organization,” shared Whitehead. “It has been a journey of learning, development, and member service that I will forever cherish.”

The League joins the credit union in thanking Sue for her consistent dedication to NorState FCU’s members and for her invaluable leadership in Maine’s credit union movement. We all wish her a happy and healthy retirement!
