The unofficial end to summer is upon us as we approach the holiday weekend. While I’m looking forward to fall and the start of hockey season for my kids (the season that never ends!), I have very much enjoyed connecting with many of you over the past few months. As we enter a new season, I am hoping to see all of you at one of the three signature events the League is hosting in the coming weeks: Legislative Forum, Management Roundtable, and the Volunteers’ Conference.
Even when credit unions are closed on holidays like Labor Day, we know that you never stop working on behalf of your members. When you work for the People Helping People movement, the spirit of collaboration, service, and compassion remains with you – no matter the circumstance or what day it is on the calendar. It is truly what separates credit unions from others in the financial services industry and is one of the many reasons why I’m so proud to help lead our movement in Maine.
Please know how much I appreciate your contributions and the work you do every day to keep Maine’s credit union system strong! Labor Day is a perfect time to say thanks, but this sentiment holds true all year long. All of us play a special role and I am grateful you have chosen to be a part of our cooperative network. Together, we make a meaningful difference.
I hope you and your families have a safe and happy Labor Day weekend.
