Recently, nearly 140 individuals representing more than 50 credit unions were approved to serve on one of your League's 10 Committees for the 2015/2016 Committee year. League Board Chair, Jim Lemieux, in consult with the Chairs, finalized the rosters of each Committee and a complete listing of Committee members was sent to all CUs.
John Murphy, President of your League, applauded credit unions for "their willingness to have staff and directors serve on one of our Committees. The Committee process is an important part of how we, as a system, exchange ideas, make recommendations, develop new initiatives and reinforce the cooperative spirit. To have nearly 85% of the state's credit unions represented on one or more of our Committees demonstrates the strength and priority that credit unions place on Committee representation."
The 10 Committees will all meet at various times throughout the year to discuss issues, as needed, and present reports to your League's Board of Directors on a regular basis. In addition, a recap of each Committee's work during the year will be provided to all Delegates before the Annual Meeting.
